- Subject: Two modems on one line
-
- Greetings all;
- Any and all advise is welcome about the following situation:
- I have two PCs at home and one phone line. I have a hard time dailing into
- my server provider, but once I get a line it will be good for hours. Based
- on
- what I am doing, I may start a long (30 minute product compile or fire off
- a test suite) task on either machine. Could be the machine which is
- dialed in.
-
- What I would like to do is: have modems from both PCs attached to the
- same line phone line, use one to dailin and have the second one sort
- of mirror the line. Is this possible? or should I forget this idea and
- drink
- a beer or two and order a second phone line while I look for a better
- provider?
-
- Thanks in advance for any thoughts or words of wisdom...
- Regards,
- Bill
